Info: As part of my role at Etihad Airways, I was tasked with improving the look and feel of the corporate website within the existing technical framework. Working closely with marketing and ecommerce, we improved the quality of design, brought the site more on brand and ensured that the site was user-focussed. These incremental improvements in design, user experience and SEO have seen the website revenue grow by nearly 100% in the period July 2009 – July 2010.

Info: Sama Dubai required brand guidelines for for Dubai Real Estate Institute. Although the logo had already been designed, there were certain elements of the logo that the clients were not happy and the brand guidelines needed to be created for all the brand touchpoints.

Info: Emirates needed to develop the new restaurant brand ‘The Observatory’, with a suite of collateral requirements. Although the logo had been designed, the brand needed to be defined through the various touchpoints. I decided on using the Sun visual because of its obvious relationship with astronomy and its relationship to cooking through its heating nature.

Info: For 2 years I worked extensively on the brand implementation project for Gulf Air, based in Bahrain. The requirement was to effectively roll out the new brand (designed by Landor Associates) across the airline’s global network. This required implementing the brand in various brand touch points, from business cards, stores to F1 signage to aircraft liveries. During this time I gained valuable knowledge about requirements of practical implementation and of the necessity for flexibility in branding solutions.
